Two days ago, the central government had reduced the excise duty on petrol and diesel. In such a situation, now many states have given more relief to the general public by reducing VAT. This initiative of the Centre and the States has brought great relief to the common man. In fact, the governments of Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Kerala have announced a reduction in the VAT cut on petrol and diesel at the local level on petrol and diesel.
In Maharashtra, vat on petrol has been reduced by Rs 2.08 per litre and on diesel by Rs 1.44 per litre. It was told by the Uddhav government that by reducing VAT on petrol and diesel, the state government will lose Rs 2,500 crore annually. On the other hand, the Rajasthan government has also announced to cut the VAT on petrol-diesel price. In fact, it was said that vat on petrol will be reduced by Rs 2.48 per litre and on diesel by Rs 1.16 per litre.

Earlier, after the results of the assembly elections in five states, the oil companies had increased the price of petrol and diesel by Rs 10 from March 22, 2022 to April 6. However, since April 6, the price has been in the price.
The oil companies did not change the price in any way and now once again, a big relief has been given to the common man by the Centre and the States.
