The prices of LPG have gone up today and with this, the new rates of petrol and diesel have also been released. According to the new rate of petrol-diesel released by the oil marketing companies, there has been no change in the price of oil for the 43rd consecutive day. The current price of petrol in Delhi is Rs 105.41 ($1.35) per litre and compared to this, petrol is much cheaper in the neighbouring countries.

Petrol is priced at $1.05 per litre in Bangladesh, 77 cents per litre in Pakistan and 67 cents per litre in Sri Lanka. India is the third-largest oil consumer and importer in the world. In fact, it imports 85 per cent of its oil needs and therefore keeps retail fuel prices at import parity rates. On the other hand, even today, the most expensive petrol in the country is Rs 123.47 per litre in Parbhani in Maharashtra, while diesel is Rs 107.68 per litre in Chittoor in Andhra Pradesh, while the cheapest petrol is Rs 91.45 in Port Blair and diesel is ₹85.83 litre.

The price of petrol in Parbhani, Maharashtra is 123.47 and the price of diesel is Rs 106.04 per litre. In Sriganganagar, Rajasthan, the price of petrol is Rs 122.93, the price of diesel is Rs 105.34/litre and at the same time, the price of petrol in Mumbai is Rs 120.51 and the price of diesel is Rs 104.77/litre. In Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh, the price of petrol is Rs 118.14, diesel is Rs 101.16 per litre, in Rajasthan's capital Jaipur, petrol is selling at Rs 118.03 per litre and diesel for Rs 100.92 a litre.
