New Delhi: Petrol, diesel prices saw another round of hike on Sunday, February 17, 2019, in New Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Chennai. With today’s surge in petrol, diesel prices, this has been the fourth straight surge in the fuel prices in the metro cities. Petrol prices in the national capital New Delhi went by 16 paise to Rs 70.76 per litre on Sunday, February 17, 2019, from Rs 70.60 a litre on Saturday, February 17, 2019, petrol prices in Chennai witnessed a hike of 17 paise. 

In Chennai, petrol was retailing at Rs 73.45 per litre on Sunday, February 17, 2019, as compared to Rs 73.28 a litre on Saturday. Petrol prices in Mumbai, the business capital of India, rose by 16 paise to Rs 76.39 on Sunday, February 17, 2019, from Rs 76.23 per litre on Saturday. Petrol prices in Kolkata saw the minimum hike among all the four metro cities on Sunday. In Kolkata, petrol was retailing at Rs 72.86 per litre on Sunday, February 17, 2019, up by 15 paise from Rs 72.71 a litre on Saturday.

Petrol prices in Gurugram (Gurgaon) soared by 9 paise to Rs 71.22 per litre on Sunday, February 17, 2019, from Rs 71.13 a litre on Saturday, February 17, 2019, while, petrol prices in Noida were dropped by 1 paise to Rs 70.44 per litre on Sunday from Rs 70.45 a litre on Saturday.

Diesel prices also went up in four metro cities and Gurugram on Sunday while in Noida, diesel was retailing at slightly lower rates on Sunday, February 17 2019, as compared the diesel rates on Saturday, February 17, 2019. Diesel prices in New Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata surged by 12 paise each to Rs 65.98, Rs 69.09, Rs 67.76 per litre on Sunday, February 17, 2019, respectively whereas diesel prices in Chennai went up by 13 paise to Rs 69.70 per litre on Sunday.

Diesel prices in Gurgaon rose by 11 paise to Rs 65.41 per litre on Sunday, February 17, 2019, from Rs 65.40 a litre on Saturday, February 16, 2019, while, diesel prices in Noida were reduced by 3 paise to Rs 65.01 per litre on Sunday.
