New Delhi: After the rise in the price of crude oil in the international market, it is being speculated for several days that soon the price of petrol and diesel may come down in the country. However, a slight increase was seen in oil prices on Tuesday. Let us tell you that Brent crude futures increased to $83.34 per barrel. While WTI rose by 70 cents to $77.63 per barrel, there was no change in the prices of petrol and diesel in India despite the rise and fall in the prices of crude oil in the global markets. Even today, there has been no change in the rates of petrol and diesel in all the four metros of the country like Delhi-Mumbai. With this, according to government oil companies, petrol is being sold 36 paise cheaper at Rs 96.64 per liter and diesel by 32 paise at Rs 89.82 per liter in Gautam Budh Nagar district (Noida-Greater Noida) this morning.

In Lucknow, petrol came down by 18 paise and reached Rs 96.44 a liter, while diesel fell by 17 paise to Rs 89.64 a liter. Apart from this, the rate of petrol in Patna, the capital of Bihar, has fallen by 50 paise to Rs 107.24 a liter this morning while diesel is being sold at Rs 94.04 a liter after falling by 47 paise. On the other hand, in Gurugram today, petrol became cheaper by 61 paise and reached Rs 96.77 a liter, while diesel dropped by 59 paise to Rs 89.65 a liter. With this, if we talk about crude oil, then in the last 24 hours, its prices are showing a decline of about $3 and the price of Brent crude has come down below $80. Brent crude has broken more than $2 this morning to reach $79.35 per barrel.

The rate of WTI is also selling at $74.66 per barrel with a fall of about $3 today. Let us tell you that today petrol in Delhi is Rs 96.65 and diesel is Rs 89.82 per liter. While petrol in Mumbai is Rs 106.31 and diesel is Rs 94.27 per liter and in Chennai petrol is Rs 102.63 and diesel is Rs 94.24 per liter. With this, petrol in Kolkata is Rs 106.03 and diesel is Rs 92.76 per liter. Let us tell you that there is a change in the prices of petrol and diesel every day at 6 am. The new rates are applicable from 6 am onwards. After adding excise duty, dealer commission, VAT, and other things to the price of petrol and diesel, its price almost doubles from the original price. This is the reason why the prices of petrol and diesel appear so high.
