New Delhi: Today, during the last 24 hours in the global market, there is a slight jump in the prices of crude oil, although the rates still remain below $80 per barrel. Amidst all this, the retail prices of petrol and diesel issued by the government oil companies are also showing a decline today. Let us tell you that today oil companies have reduced the rates of petrol and diesel in many cities from UP to Bihar, while there is no change in oil prices even today in metros like Delhi-Mumbai. On the other hand, according to government oil companies, petrol fell by 27 paise to Rs 96.65 a liter in the Gautam Budh Nagar district this morning, while diesel fell by 26 paise to Rs 89.82 a liter.

With this, petrol has gone up by 14 paise to Rs 96.57 a liter in Lucknow, while diesel has become costlier by 13 paise and is being sold at Rs 89.76 per liter. At the same time, in Bihar's capital Patna, petrol became cheaper by 17 paise to reach Rs 107.95, while diesel fell by 16 paise and is being sold at Rs 94.70 a liter. With this, if we talk about crude oil, there has not been much change in its prices in the last 24 hours. Brent crude was trading at $79.99 per barrel, up marginally from yesterday's price. The WTI rate has also increased by almost half a dollar to reach $76.09 per barrel today. Let us tell you that today petrol in Delhi is Rs 96.65 and diesel is Rs 89.82 per liter, while petrol in Mumbai is Rs 106.31 and diesel is Rs 94.27 per liter. While petrol in Chennai is Rs 102.63 and diesel is Rs 94.24 per liter.

With this, petrol has become Rs 96.65 and diesel Rs 89.82 per liter in Noida. While petrol in Lucknow has become Rs 96.57 and diesel Rs 89.76 per liter, while petrol in Patna has become Rs 107.95 and diesel Rs 94.70 per liter. Let us tell you that there is a change in the prices of petrol and diesel every day at 6 am. Yes, and the new rates are applicable from 6 am onwards. After adding excise duty, dealer commission, VAT, and other things to the price of petrol and diesel, its price almost doubles from the original price. This is the reason why the prices of petrol and diesel appear so high.
