New Delhi: Petrol and diesel prices remained unchanged for the fifth consecutive day on Monday before the General Budget 2021-22. At the same time, oil prices in the international market have also been limited in the last two weeks. Benchmark crude oil Brent crude has been trading at a high of $ 54.48 a barrel, down from $ 56.64 in the past two weeks. During the month of January, the price of petrol and diesel in Delhi has increased by more than Rs 2.50 per liter and the price of petrol is at the highest level.
According to the website of Indian Oil, petrol prices in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai remained at Rs 86.30, Rs 87.69, Rs 92.86, and Rs 88.82 per liter respectively on Monday. Diesel prices are also stable at Rs 76.48, Rs 80.08, Rs 83.30, and Rs 81.71 per liter in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Chennai respectively without any modification.
Oil marketing companies had earlier raised the price of petrol by 25 paise in Delhi, 24 paise in Kolkata and Mumbai, 22 paise in Chennai and 22 paise in diesel and 25 paise in Delhi and Kolkata, 27 paise in Mumbai on Wednesday. And Chennai was increased by 24 paise per liter.
