New Delhi: The month has started with stability in retail fuel prices. On Monday, March 1, 2021, the oil marketing companies have not increased the prices of petrol and diesel. Even on Sunday, there was peace in prices. The last increase in oil prices was on Saturday. However, in the last month i.e. February, the total price of petrol and diesel was increased for 14 consecutive days.
After the last amendment, the prices of petrol and diesel are going on in the big cities of the country. According to Indian Oil Corporation, the country's largest oil distribution company, petrol is being sold in Delhi at Rs 91.17 per liter and diesel at Rs 81.47 per liter. On Saturday, there was an increase of 24 paise in petrol and 15 paise in diesel.
Its petrol in Mumbai is being sold at Rs 97.57 per liter and diesel at Rs 88.60 per liter. The most expensive petrol in the country's top four metros - Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Chennai is being found in Mumbai. In Kolkata, the price of petrol increased from Rs 91.35 per liter and the price of diesel from 84.20 to Rs 84.35 per liter on Saturday. On the other hand, the price of petrol in Chennai is Rs 93.11 per liter and the price of diesel is Rs 86.45 per liter.
