New Delhi: Petrol and diesel prices again saw an increase on Thursday. Oil marketing companies have increased the price of petrol by six paise in Delhi and Kolkata, five paise in Mumbai and seven paise per litre in Chennai. At the same time, the price of diesel has been increased in Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai by five paise, while in Chennai by six paise per litre.
At the same time, the price of crude oil has again increased in the international market. According to market analysts, crude oil prices are seeing a rise in hopes of easing trade tensions between the US and China. On the other hand, prices have been supported in the US due to decreasing crude oil reserves. If this rise in the price of crude oil continues, the prices of petrol and diesel may increase even more in the coming days.

According to the website of Indian Oil, petrol prices in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai have increased to Rs 71.82, Rs 74.55, Rs 77.50 and Rs 74.63 per litre respectively on Thursday. Diesel prices in the four metros have also increased to Rs 65.19, Rs 67.60 and Rs 68.37 and Rs 68.90 per litre respectively.
