New Delhi: Due to reduction in crude oil prices, the prices of petrol and diesel have been recorded again on Friday. On March 13, the price of petrol in Delhi has been cut by 14 paise and the price of diesel by 15 paise per liter. This is the lowest level in the last 10 months. At the same time, petrol-diesel has become cheaper by about Rs 5 so far this year.

According to the website of Indian Oil, on 13 March 2020, Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai petrol rates were 70, 75.7, 72.7 and 72.71 respectively. In the four metros, the price of diesel has been increased to 62.74, 65.68, 65.07 and 66.19 respectively. Earlier on June 2019, the price of petrol in New Delhi was Rs 70.05 per liter. That is, after about 10 months it is being available at the cheapest price. Petrol has become cheaper by Rs 5.14 per liter in New Delhi so far this year. On January 1, 2020, the price of petrol in Delhi was Rs 75.14 per liter.

On the other hand, talking about diesel, then diesel has become cheaper by Rs 5 22 paise so far this year. On 1 January 2020, it was sold at Rs 67.96 per liter in Delhi. Let us tell you that the oil marketing companies determine the rates of petrol and diesel every day after reviewing the prices. Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum and Hindustan Petroleum revise petrol and diesel rates at 6 am every day.
