The last increase in the price of diesel was on Wednesday. On this day diesel became expensive by 13 paise per liter. However, on Thursday, the oil companies did not make any amendments in the price of diesel. Similarly, the prices of petrol also remained constant. Petrol prices remained steady for the 17th consecutive day.
According to the website of Indian Oil, diesel prices in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai are Rs 81.13, Rs 76.33, Rs 79.40, and Rs 78.22 per liter respectively. While the price of petrol is also stable at Rs 80.43, Rs 82.10, Rs 87.19 and Rs 83.63 per liter respectively without any modification in the four metros. The price of crude oil continues to rise in the global market. Benchmark crude oil Brent crude price has crossed $ 43 per barrel, while the price of US crude WTI is stable above $ 40 per barrel.
