New Delhi: Oil companies have not made any amendments to the prices of petrol and diesel today. This was the first day after the presentation of the General Budget on 1 February, in which Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced a new Cess Agriculture Infrastructure and Development Cess. This cess has been imposed at Rs 2.5 per liter on petrol and Rs 4 per liter on diesel. This new cess will be applicable from 2 February today.

If you talk about the price of petrol diesel, petrol has become expensive by Rs 2.59 since January 1 in Delhi. Similarly, diesel has become expensive by Rs 2.61. There has been no change in the price of petrol and diesel on February 2 in the national capital Delhi. Petrol is being sold tomorrow at Rs 86.30 per liter and diesel at Rs 76.48 per liter tomorrow. In Mumbai too, there was no increase in the price of petrol and diesel. Petrol costs Rs 92.86 per liter and diesel costs Rs 83.30 per liter.

Similarly, in Kolkata, there is no change in the price of petrol and diesel today. Petrol is being sold at Rs 87.69 per liter and diesel at the rate of Rs 80.08 per liter. The price of petrol in Chennai today is Rs 88.82 per liter and diesel is Rs 81.71 per liter. Today, the price of petrol in Bangalore is Rs 89.21 per liter and diesel is Rs 81.10 per liter.
