New Delhi: Petrol and diesel prices recorded the biggest fall on Saturday. In the four major metros of the country, the price of petrol has come down by 27-28 paise per liter, while the price of diesel has come down by 30 to 32 paise per litre. Petrol and diesel prices have been cut again for the third consecutive day.

Oil marketing companies on Saturday reduced the price of petrol by 27 paise in Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai, while by 28 paise per liter in Chennai. At the same time, diesel prices in Delhi and Kolkata have decreased by 30 paise, while in Mumbai and Chennai, 32 paise per liter has been reduced. This is the biggest one-day reduction in the price of petrol and diesel in this month. Petrol has become cheaper by 1.85 paise per liter in two weeks i.e. after 11 January in Delhi, the capital of the country, while the price of diesel has been cut by 1.86 paise per liter for consumers.

According to the website of Indian Oil, the price of petrol in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai has come down to Rs 74.16, Rs 76.77, Rs 79.76 and Rs 77.03 per liter respectively. Similarly, diesel prices in the four metros have also come down to Rs 67.31, Rs 69.67, Rs 70.56 and Rs 71.11 per liter respectively.
