New Delhi: There has been no revision in the prices of petrol and diesel for the fifth consecutive day. Even after this, the price of diesel in Delhi has come down drastically by Rs 8.38, because Kejriwal government of Delhi has reduced VAT. According to Indian Oil, on Friday, the price of petrol in Delhi is Rs 80.43 and the price of diesel is Rs 73.56 per litre.
Petrol in Chennai is Rs 83.63 and diesel is Rs 78.86. Petrol is being sold in Mumbai at Rs 87.19 per litre and diesel at Rs 80.11, while in Kolkata petrol is priced at Rs 82.10 per litre and diesel is Rs 77.04 per litre. If we talk about the price of diesel and petrol today, the cheapest diesel in NCR is available in Delhi itself. According to Indian Oil on Thursday, diesel was being sold at the rate of Rs 81.94 per litre. After reducing VAT, the price of diesel in Delhi has now come to Rs 73.56 per litre.
Talking about the prices in cities other than Delhi, according to Indian Oil, diesel is being sold in Noida at Rs 73.83 a litre, in Faridabad diesel at Rs 74.20, in Ghaziabad, diesel is priced at Rs 73.68 and in Gurgaon at Rs 73.84. In this way, the cheapest diesel is being sold in the cities of NCR.
