Oil companies have cut the price of petrol from 23 to 25 paise per liter on Monday. The price of diesel has been reduced from 25 to 26 per liter.

Petrol in the country's capital Delhi has become very cheap. Here the price of one-liter petrol has been increased to Rs 70.59. Similarly, for a liter of diesel, you have to pay 63.26 rupees. According to the website of Indian Oil, the price of petrol in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai has come down to Rs 70.59, Rs 73.28, Rs 76.29 and Rs 73.33 per liter respectively. In the four metros, the price of diesel has also come down to Rs 63.26, Rs 65.65, Rs 66.24 and Rs 66.75 respectively.

Reduction in demand for crude oil from China and a reduction in prices in the global market will also have a direct impact in the domestic market. So far in 2020, the petrol price has been reduced by Rs 4 per liter. Similarly, in case of diesel prices, a decrease of Rs 4.15 per liter has been recorded since the beginning of the year. Now, if the rupee rises against the dollar, then petrol-diesel prices are expected to be cut by Rs 3-4 per liter in the domestic market.
