According to the website of Indian Oil, petrol prices in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai have gone up to Rs 69.59, Rs 73.30, Rs 76.31 and Rs 72.28 per litre respectively. At the same time, the prices of diesel in the above four metros are currently running at Rs 62.29, Rs 65.62, Rs 66.21 and Rs 65.71 per litre respectively.

However, due to cess-tax on fuel, prices have increased in 3 states. In Nagaland, the Coronavirus cess has been imposed on petrol and diesel, due to which the price of petrol has increased by 6 rupees per litre and diesel by 5 rupees per litre. With this, the tax on diesel was increased by 5 rupees per liter on diesel and 6 rupees per litre on petrol. Tax was imposed in Meghalaya, due to which the rates have increased here too.
