New Delhi: Inflation has made the common man's life miserable during the crisis of the corona epidemic. But now it is expected that this can provide some relief. As crude oil prices have gone down globally, the rupee has registered a strong err. Experts are predicting a fall in petrol-diesel prices domestically.
Asif Iqbal, a researcher at Escort Security, told media that oil marketing companies will get relief due to cheaper crude oil. Because India imports 82 per cent of its requirement from abroad. Petrol prices have been rising or stable for the past few months. Oil companies are under pressure to reduce prices.
If the companies are relieved by Brent crude, they can give relief to the consumers. If crude falls by 20 per cent, petrol and diesel prices could be reduced by 5 per cent. Petrol and diesel are expected to be cheaper by Rs 2.5 to Rs 3 per litre. If that happens, the general public who are reeling under the corona and lockdown will definitely get relief.
