Aurangabad: MNS chief Raj Thackeray's birthday was celebrated last Tuesday. Due to this, the MNS leaders celebrated Raj Thackeray's birthday in their own way. In the same order, on the special occasion of his birthday in Aurangabad district, 54 rupees a litre of petrol was given to the general public by the MNS. The local MNS unit paid the pump owner the difference between the normal price and the amount being provided by himself.

At the same time, the news of getting petrol at a cheap rate in the city spread and on seeing this, there was a long queue of about 1 km near the Kranti Chowk petrol pump. MNS Aurangabad president Sumit Khambekar said 1,011 persons availed the facility. Talking to the media, he said there were two objectives of giving petrol at Rs 54 per litre. First, to give a small gift to the residents of Aurangabad on the occasion of our party chief's birthday and secondly, to highlight the issue of sky-dropping prices of fuel.

Even though the Centre has reduced the tax on petrol and diesel, the state government has not yet complied with it. He also said that the party provided petrol only between 8 am and 9 am and the difference in rates was borne by the MNS. Coupons were handed over to the citizens to avoid crowding. In Aurangabad and Marathwada, Raj Thackeray has big number of supporters.
