Kolkata: Petrol prices are rising sharply. Now, the price of petrol in Kolkata has crossed the Rs.100 per litre mark. In fact, the price of petrol in Kolkata today i.e. 07, the same diesel price is 92. 97 per litre. Now, today, there is a protest by the TMC on the price of petroleum products. The TMC has now announced a two-day protest. As a result, TMC protests are continuing in different areas last Saturday and today i.e. TMC workers staged a tyre burning protest in the metropolis today i.e.

Let me tell you that the prices of petrol and diesel have increased continuously since the assembly elections. In fact, the results of the Assembly elections were declared on 2nd May and since then the price of petroleum products has been steadily increasing. The TMC has started protesting on the road in protest against the same. The TMC had announced the protest a long time ago and in view of that, protests are being held at the block level last Saturday and today i.e. You must be aware that Mamata Banerjee has already written to PM Narendra Modi against the hike in the price of petrol and diesel. In fact, they demanded a reduction in the price of petrol and diesel.

Mamata Banerjee had said in a letter to the PM, "The price of petrol has gone up to about Rs 100 per litre. Petrol and diesel prices have been hiked four times this month. Earlier also, petrol and diesel prices have been rising continuously. The Central Government is continuously increasing the cess, though the State does not get that cess money. The State gets only 42 per cent of the money from the Centre.''
