Good news for petrol-diesel vendors today. Petrol and diesel prices have not increased for the second consecutive day in all metros, including the country's capital. Earlier, state-run oil companies had increased prices for 4 consecutive days. Prices have increased well from May 4 to today. While petrol became costlier by 72 paise per litre, diesel remained at 82 paise per litre.
Petrol diesel prices have been rising since Tuesday. Petrol prices were hiked by 15 paise on Tuesday, while its price rose by 19 paise on Wednesday, 25 paise on Thursday and 28 paise on Friday. Similarly, when it comes to diesel, the same day's increase made it more than Rs. 1 more expensive.
