New Delhi: On Friday, Petrol prices fell across the country while oil marketing companies kept diesel prices unchanged on Wednesday. In major cities of the country, petrol price fell by 6 paise per litre. In the national capital Delhi, petrol is sold at Rs 70.38 per litre as compared to Rs 70.44 a litre on Thursday while diesel is stable at Rs 65.56 a litre, according to data from Indian Oil Corporation website.
However after today’s rate revision, in Mumbai, the retail prices of petrol and diesel are Rs 76.02 a litre and Rs 68.65 a litre respectively. Petrol was sold at Rs 76.08 a litre while the price of diesel was Rs 68.65 per litre in Mumbai on Thursday. While Citizens in Kolkata have to pay Rs 72.49 for a litre of petrol while diesel price is unchanged at Rs 67.34 per litre. In Chennai, petrol is sold at Rs 73.05, down 6 paise compared to yesterday’s price of Rs 73.11 a litre, and diesel is sold at Rs 69.25 a litre.
Here the retail prices of petrol in Noida and Gurugram are at Rs 70.29 and Rs 71.30 respectively, down 5 paise against Thursday’s price . Diesel, on the other hand, costs Rs 64.80 in Noida and Rs 65.39 in Gurugram.

On Friday, in the international oil market, crude prices fell amid concerns over a global economic slowdown although supply cuts by OPEC and US curbs against Venezuela provided crude with some support. International Brent crude oil futures were trading at USD 61.51 per barrel, down 12 cents or 0.2 per cent from their last close.
