Petrol pump owners have called a strike on Monday after the Delhi government refused to reduce the VAT on petrol and diesel.CNG supplying fuel stations are also included in this.

After Delhi Petrol Dealers Association has announced that 400 petrol pumps will be closed from Monday 6 am to Tuesday 05 am.  According to news Agency ANI, All 400 petrol pumps along with linked CNG dispensing units to be shut from 6 am tomorrow to 5 am on Tue in protest against Delhi govt’s refusal to reduce Value Added Tax on diesel & petrol in the national capital.Protest has been called by Delhi Petrol Dealers Association

This announcement of strike on Monday is going be a double trouble for the Delhiites  as the taxis and auto unions have also called a strike before this. Auto-Rickshaw and Taxi Union have decided to go on strike against the government's policies regarding the cab aggregators.

It is noteworthy, that after deduction of Rs 2.50 per liter in price of petrol and diesel, the Stats had suggested to cut VAT. After which many BJP-ruled states had cut the Vat but the Delhi government refused to do so.
