New Delhi: There is a very good news for the common man of the country who is troubled by expensive petrol and diesel. In fact, soon you are going to get a big relief from filling expensive petrol and diesel and Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself has indicated this. Let us tell you that the previous day was World Environment Day and on this day PM Modi has given information that, 'Bhakat has achieved great success and achievement in mixing ethanol in petrol and diesel. India has already achieved its target of blending ethanol into petrol and diesel 5 months ahead of schedule.

He further informed that, 'In the year 2014, only 1.5 percent ethanol blending was done in India. Achieving the goal of blending ethanol into petrol has yielded three benefits. First, about 27 lakh tonnes of carbon emissions have been reduced by this. Second, India has saved foreign exchange of more than 41 thousand crore rupees. And thirdly, due to ethanol blending, the farmers of the country have earned Rs.600 crores within 8 years.

Let us tell you that in the past, Union Highways and Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari had given such indications that ethanol-powered vehicles may start soon in the country. Yes and for this they are taking forward the talks at the level of government and companies. At the same time, the government is working to promote the use of green and alternative fuels.

Let us also tell you all that, due to the increase in ethanol blending, people will get relief from buying expensive petrol and diesel. You should be aware that every liter of fuel used to promote the use of ethanol will save about 20 rupees. The government has set a target of 20 per cent blending of ethanol in petrol by 2025.
