Thala Ajith's Viswasam and  Rajinikanth's Petta are doing good business at the box-office. In this big clash Petta has emerged  as a clear winner at the overseas box office. While Viswasan has collected around Rs 34 crore, Petta has earned Rs 69 crore in the international markets.

Rajinikanth's Petta has already turned to fifth highest all-time grosser at the Chennai box office. Directed by Karthik Subbaraj, it also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Vijay Sethupathi, Trisha and Simran Bagga in pivotal roles.  On the other hand, Thala Ajith's Viswasam, which also features Nayanthara in a lead role is directed by Siva. The film marks the fourth collaboration between the director and Ajith after Vedhalam, Veeram and Vivegam.
