First trial of corona vaccine in PGI Rohtak succeeds

Rohtak: The first phase trial of PGI Rohtak engaged in the preparation of the Coronavirus vaccine has been successful. According to the institute, the trial is going in the right direction and the results of the first phase will be revealed soon. It is expected that by the end of this year, the Corona vaccine will be ready and it will be made available in the market.

PGI Rohtak has started the second phase of trials after the completion of the first phase. The second phase of the trial in the entire country will be conducted with 380 volunteers. This will also include 50 Volunteers of Rohtak PGI. The new thing in this trial is that this time, patients with diabetes and high blood pressure have also been included in the vaccine test. The institute has so far screened 15 volunteers and the screening of the remaining 35 volunteers will also be completed soon. In this trial half, the volunteers will be given 3 micrograms and half the volunteers will be given 6 micrograms.

Pandit Bhagwat Dayal Sharma Health University Vice-Chancellor Dr OP Kalra has said that the results of the first phase have come promising. But India will release its results soon. He said that he has got permission for the second phase of trial and Rohtak PGI will conduct this trial on about 50 volunteers. Some changes have been made in the second phase of the trial. In which this trial will be done on people between the age of 12 to 65 years.
