NEW DELHI: Mansukh Mandaviya, the minister for health, chemicals, and fertilisers, urged on Saturday for the pharmaceutical sector to once again place a strong emphasis on innovation, quality, and affordability.
At the 8th International Conference on Pharma and Medical Device Sector, Mandaviya presided over a roundtable discussion with the top Chief Executive Officers in the pharmaceutical sector.
Mandaviya, for India to keep its position as the world's pharmacy, it is essential to focus on producing goods of high quality at competitive prices. The minister emphasised the industry's quick development and urged participants to take advantage of the existing prospects.
The Health Minster said, , "Significant investments are being made in Production Linked Incentive schemes, and the creation of upcoming drug parks is already producing positive results." He asserted that maintaining competitiveness is essential to enhancing India's standing internationally in the pharmaceutical sector.
The minister requested input from business leaders on pricing, legal matters, public policy, and business strategy. These observations will be taken into account to be included in a thorough presentation to direct future policy formulation and industrial expansion.
