After dating for two years, Nayanthara put all the speculations to rest and confirmed her relationship with director Vignesh Shivan last year. Recently, the couple welcomed the Tamil New Year and Vishu (Kerala New Year) in a low-key manner with Vignesh's family. Generally, Vignesh and Nayanthara post photos of themselves during festivals.

Vignesh also shared the same photo on Instagram, however, the caption for the same has caught everyone's attention. Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan fell for each other on the sets of Naanum Rowdy Dhaan, which released in 2015. Their relationship has been rock-solid for the past four years and rumours are rife that the couple might tie the knot soon. Last year, in an award function, Nayanthara called Vignesh Shivan her fiance. However, there has been no proper update on the couple's wedding. Every time when the couple shares their photos, Vignesh Shivan and Nayanthara leave everyone talking over their impending wedding.
