Beirut, Lebanon, The boy, identified by medical workers as Omran Daqneesh, 5, was pulled from a damaged building after a Syrian government or Russian airstrike in the northern city of Aleppo.

The worker places the boy in an orange seat in the ambulance. The dusty and bloody five-year old looks confused about what is happening.

He touches the side of his face, and feels something wet. He looks at his hand and sees blood.

As per the sources, the airstrike killed eight people, including five children.

Syrians are tweeting edited picture of Omran as they ask why the world is doing nothing about the killing in Aleppo.
