Pakistan: The Pakistan Hindu Council is encouraging pilgrims to participate in 'religious tourism.' According to Dawn, the Pakistan Hindu Council (PHC) has invited a group of 250 pilgrims, including some from India, to visit the nation in an effort to promote "religious tourism."

The group will pay a visit to the mausoleum of Paramhans Ji Maharaaj, a saint who died in the Karak area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in 1919. According to PHC patron Ramesh Kumar Vankwani, "a number of Hindu pilgrims from India, the United Arab Emirates, and the United States will gather in Peshawar on January 1 to visit the Samadhi at Teri." The seminar was organised by the Hindu Council in partnership with Pakistan International Airlines. "This is the second time the council has welcomed Hindu pilgrims from other nations to see for themselves that Pakistan has a tolerant and multicultural society," Vankwani noted.

In the recent month, fifty-four Hindus from India, Canada, Singapore, Australia, and Spain visited the country. Shri Satguru Ji Maharaaj Ji, the fifth successor of Paramhans Ji Maharaaj, commanded the group.

Last month, Pakistan's Chief Justice Gulzar Ahmad celebrated Diwali at Teri temple to express solidarity with local Hindus and to welcome pilgrims from various areas of the country.
