In 2016, B-Town saw a motivated and inspiring film that released and took the nation by storm. We are talking about Pink, which starred Taapsee Pannu and Amitabh Bachchan in the key roles. It was not only acclaimed by critics and fans alike, but also made  money at the box-office . The movie also earned the tag of being a cult film. Now, after two years Pink getting news headlines once more because it is being done in a Tamil remake.

Worth mention here producer Boney Kapoor has recently confirmed that B-Town star Vidya Balan, known for movies like The Dirty Picture (2011) and Kahaani (2012), has a key role to play in the movie. It has also been opened that south superstar Thala Ajith will be playing the role of the lawyer. Earlier Bollywood legend Amitabh Bahchan in the 2016 film played the character.

 Now who will essay the role of Taapsee Pannu in this remake of Pink is not disclosed.

“I wouldn't call it a special appearance. There are certain changes that the director [H Vinoth] that has incorporated to suit the Tamil market, and Vidya's character has been accordingly written,” Boney Kapoor stated Mid-Day.

The producer also said that the project got green signal on December 14 and opened that it was Ajith who had suggested his late wife  and B- town gem Sridevi that Pink should get a Tamil remake.
