While Border Roads Organization is working day and night to construct the road from Munsari to Lillum to China border, the Lillim-Dung walkway maintained by LNV has been destroyed. Five temporary bridges have already collapsed. Along with this, the soldiers deployed for monitoring the border have to go through patrolling along the river drains to go for patrolling along the border. At the same time, the walkway can be closed at any time in the rainy season. On the other hand, the Public Works Department Dehihat is responsible for the maintenance of the 85 km walkway from Lillum in Munsiyari Tehsil to Dung and beyond for the India-China border.

Along with this, the glaciers are continuously breaking on the 44 km walkway from Lillum to Dung and beyond, damaging the footpaths in many places. From the top, Loniv has built a walkway, but due to the heat and rain, these roads are disappearing everyday due to the glacier slipping. At the same time, five temporary bridges connecting Sama village, Laspa Gaar and Tola near Dung were broken due to heavy snowfall in winter.

To reach the border, security forces have to go through logs and planks in the Laspa River. A month ago, for the temporary construction of five bridges, removing glaciers and constructing the path and maintenance of the entire road, the Istimate (assessment) has been sent to the government. At present, Loniv has not received the amount. The migrants are also unable to return to the village due to lack of proper route. Jaspal Singh, Nath Singh, resident of Tola, Laspa, said that going to his village is like risking life due to the ever increasing water level on the river and the breaking of glaciers. At the same time, security forces are reaching through the risky routes to patrol the China border.
