New Delhi: There have been a lot of complaints from small shopkeepers regarding the e-commerce platform. These shopkeepers suffer a lot due to the huge discounts they give. Now the government has announced a big relief for them. Union Minister Piyush Goyal has warned foreign companies not to use e-commerce platforms for aggressive pricing and huge discounts. Goyal said this would increase the risk of small shopkeepers going out of business. He said that this sector is very sensitive and the government will not allow the small retail business to end.

At the India Economic Summit organized by the World Economic Forum, Goyal said that "it should not be the case that e-commerce companies buy products at a much lower price by aggressively pricing or using huge capital and selling them at a discount to small shoppers Make a situation out of business. After allowing FDI in e-commerce companies, small businessmen are constantly expressing apprehension that these companies can use foreign capital to lure customers through attractive offers". The Union Minister of Commerce and Industry stated clearly that India has prepared a permanent and predictable regulatory framework for this sector.
