New Delhi: A sense of insecurity has arisen in domestic industries over the proposed business agreement RCEP. Negotiations on this agreement are in the final stages. The central government has appealed to the domestic industries not to panic. The government said that the interests of the domestic industry would be protected before signing the deal. Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal said that the interests of domestic industries will be given full attention before finalizing any free trade agreement.

Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) along with ten ASEAN countries Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam along with their six free trade agreement partner countries Australia, China, India, Japan, South Korea and Will be between New Zealand. All member states have set a deadline to conclude the negotiations on this agreement in November 2019. A June 2020 period has been set for the signing of the agreement.

Goyal said that the government will take care of national interests first and will not make any hurry.
