New Delhi: Questions are being raised about plasma therapy that started in the early days of the Rona virus. Several studies on plasma therapy not only in the country but around the world proved that this therapy does not have much effect on patient improvement. Last Friday, the world's leading medical journal The Lancet reported through research that it was now confirmed that plasma therapy was not effective in treating covids. It was then that the National Task Force of ICMR, AIIMS and Covid-19 removed plasma therapy in the country from the Covid Treatment Protocol.
Continuous studies around the world showed that plasma therapy is not effective in covid. That is why doctors from different parts of the country had written to the health ministry and ICMR officials asking them to remove it from the treatment protocol. According to union health ministry officials, several vierologists' organisations in the country were constantly monitoring the same. According to officials, the issue of plasma therapy was also discussed at the Covid-19 National Task Force meeting held last week, questioning the usefulness of plasma therapy.
According to Union Health Ministry officials, his own study said that giving plasma to those who have poor immunity reduces neutralizing antibody. There was always a fear that the process would not bring the new strain of Covid to the fore. Research suggests that plasma therapy began to develop from covid to new strain.
