Shimla: A plastic packing park is to be set up in Himachal Pradesh at a cost of Rs 85 crore with the financial support of the Center and the State Government. The industries established in the park will assist in meeting the packing requirements of the industries established in the state. Contains plastic bottles, packing materials for the plastics and pharma industries. The state government has also sent a proposal to the central government to set up a plastic packing park.

It has been learned that a team of the Center can now come in March to take stock of the marked location for the proposed plastic park. After getting approval from the Center, Himachal may be released an amount of 40 crores for the park. The remaining amount will be borne by the state government itself. 100 acres of land in Nalagarh has been identified for the plastic park.

It has been learned that at present, to meet the plastic packing needs of the industries of the state, external states have to move. After the establishment of a plastic packing park in the state, in which units for manufacturing plastic packing goods are to be set up. These units can supply plastic packing of industries established in the state. At the same time, State Industries Director Hansraj Sharma said that plastic packing parks are going to be set up in the state at a cost of 85 crores. The proposal has been sent to the central government. In March, the Central team is coming to take stock of the marked land. 100 acres of land for the park is seen in Nalagarh.
