For this research, a team from the University of Western Australia and the Telethon Kids Institute has studied information about 2 to 5 years old children in about 1700 homes. During the study, researchers have found that children who grow up with domesticated dogs have a 30 percent lower chance of engaging in antisocial behavior but in other children, this problem increases to 34%.

Research has also revealed that 'keeping a dog at home leads to a good mental and social growth of children. There is also a unique and special attachment between children and pet dog.
