After the IPL season 2019, now the IPL has reached the Eden Gardens of Kolkata. The reason is that the first match of the playoff is going to be played on Tuesday at the Eden Garden Stadium in Kolkata. It is going to be played between Gujarat Titans and Rajasthan Royals. Eden Gardens is also known as the "Mecca of Indian Cricket", as it is the first officially built ground for cricket in India. However, before the match, the fully prepared stadium faced heavy thunderstorm and torrential rain on Saturday and the arrangements here deteriorated.

For this, the players have traveled to Kolkata with zeal and passion, photos of which have been posted by these teams from their respective handles through the country's own micro-blogging platform, Ku App. Seeing the posts shared by the cricketers, their enthusiasm, as well as the need of the fans to win against their favorite players through strong comments, must be being seen.

Wriddhiman Saha, one of the finest players of Gujarat Titans, has expressed his excitement about going to Kolkata after a long time through the native social media platform, Ku App, saying: Journey to Kolkata after a long time! So excited to be playing at the Garden of Eden! @mdshami11 Virat Kohli, playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore, has issued a notice of Kolkata departure by posting a Ku. While Mumbai and Pune have also been selected for the league matches this season, the Eden Gardens in Kolkata have been selected for the playoff matches. Thus, both the matches of the IPL 2022 playoffs are to be played at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Two matches are going to be played here on Tuesday and Wednesday. The first match can be played on 23 May between Gujarat Titans and Rajasthan Royals.

At the same time, Qualifier-2 will be played on May 25. Whichever team is going to win this match to be held at Eden Gardens, Kolkata, it is going to face the winner of Qualifier-1 in the final. The title match of IPL-11 is going to be played on May 27 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. The photo of which two teams will fight for the title in the final is also going to be clear soon.

Rain wreaked havoc: The preparations for the playoffs have been completed at the Eden Gardens Stadium. Special cover was put in the stadium only for the playoffs, but on Saturday evening it was blown away by rain accompanied by thunderstorms and the ground got wet. Some shades have also fallen in the audience gallery. This affected parts of the outfield. The glass window of the press box located in the upper part also got stuck due to the strong wind. BCCI President Sourav Ganguly visited the Eden Gardens after torrential rains wreaked havoc in Kolkata on Saturday. Soon after the rain stopped, the cover has been put back on.
