New Delhi: The Delhi government had ordered the Delhi government to reserve 80% ICU beds of 33 private hospitals for corona patients in the capital, which was challenged in the Delhi High Court. The high court has transferred the matter to the vacation bench on a petition filed by the challenging Association of Health Providers. The High Court on December 28 will again hear the case. The court also gave several more directions.

During the hearing today, the petitioner said in the Delhi High Court that corona cases have been reduced continuously in Delhi, but even after that, the Delhi government wants to keep the ICU beds of private hospitals constantly surrounded, which is directly an injustice to private hospitals. On the one hand, government hospitals are being converted from corona to non-covid, on the other hand, ICU beds of private hospitals have been reserved. Bada Hindurao Hospital is being converted into a non-covid hospital.

The petitioner said that if 80% ICU beds of 33 private hospitals remain reserve only for covid patients, why would non-covid patients come to these hospitals? Non-covid patients will be so afraid that they would not want to get treatment in these hospitals.
