Plans to develop a plug and play facility in the country's seven Integrated Manufacturing Clusters (IMC) are being prepared to encourage manufacturing between the Corona transition and lockdown. These seven IMCs are being developed in seven states of the country on Amritsar Kolkata Industrial Corridor (AKIC). These days the work of acquiring and developing land on behalf of the government for IMC is going on fast. On the other hand, $ 500 million from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) will be taken as long-term debt to support projects related to the Industrial Corridor.

For your information, let us tell you that this proposal of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry has received in-principle approval from the Department of Economic Affairs. The seven states where IMC will be developed include Punjab (Rajpura-Patiala), Uttarakhand (Prague-Khurpia forums), Uttar Pradesh (Bhaupur), Bihar (Gamharia), Jharkhand (Barhi), West Bengal (Raghunathpur) and Haryana (Sah). Are included. Of these, for the development of IMC in states like Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana, the work of land acquisition by the government has been accelerated.

According to sources regarding this matter, IMC is being developed on 1000 acres in Rajpura area of Patiala district of Punjab and for this work the land acquisition will be completed by next month. Recently, in a meeting with various states regarding the development of the Industrial Corridor Project, the land for the establishment of IMC in Allahabad, Aligarh and Kanpur area is being seen by Uttar Pradesh. The state government has told the National Industrial Corridor Development Corporation (NICDC) that the land information will be shared soon.
