NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced on Monday that he will bilateral discussions with G20 leaders during the summit in Bali about a range of global issues, including the environment, health, and the security of food and energy.

Before departing for Bali to attend the summit, Modi made the following statement: "On November 14–16, 2022, I will be in Bali, Indonesia, for the 17th G20 Leaders' Summit, which Indonesia is hosting. On important global concerns including restoring global growth, food and energy security, environment, health, and digital transformation, I will hold in-depth discussions with fellow G20 leaders." The prime minister added that he will meet with the heads of numerous other G20 summit participants to discuss the development of India's bilateral relations with them.

"At the Bali Summit's closing ceremony, Indonesian President Joko Widodo will transfer the G20 Presidency to India in a significant development for our nation and people. The G20 Presidency will formally be taken over by India on December 1st, 2022.  I will also personally invite G20 participants and other invited guests to our G20 Summit the following year "he added.

Further, Prime Minister Modi stated that he will emphasise India's accomplishments and its steadfast commitment to working together to address global concerns during his interactions at the G20 conference.
