Right from 2001 to 2014, he also kept the command of the Chief Minister of Gujarat in his hands. With many historic decisions, Prime Minister Modi is constantly trying to give a new look to the country.

Of course, India’s Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is resembling a phenomenon hardly ever seen in Indian or international politics. Despite the attempts of many in the media and the opposition to repeatedly criticise and demonise him, he remains extremely popular among the general public.

During the last eight years of the NDA regime, India's dream of becoming a USD 5 trillion economy has been the main focus area under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. The Prime Minister of India has always emphasized his government's vision of "sabka saath, sabka vikas, and Vishwas" (Development of all with the cooperation and trust) since his taking office. During the last two years, economic progress has been hampered by the unprecedented pandemic Covid-19 followed by war between Ukraine and Russia.

Despite the obstacles the Indian economy is coming back on the track due to the deft policies adopted by the Modi Government. As per the data, the Indian economy expanded by 8.7% in 2021-22 against a 6.6% contraction in 2020-21. The growth in the financial year 2021-22 stood at 8.7%.

Policymakers have been discussing for years how to boost manufacturing in India and turn India into a global manufacturing hub. But it was Narendra Modi who, within a few months of assuming office, started the 'Make in India' campaign to encourage investment, nurture innovation, improve skill development, protect intellectual property rights, and build world-class industrial infrastructure.

Significance of Make in India: The 'Make in India' strategy is built on four pillars that have been regarded as key to boosting entrepreneurship in India, not just in manufacturing but in other areas as well.

The 'Make in India' initiative acknowledges "Ease of doing business" as the most significant aspect of promoting entrepreneurship. Many steps have already been taken to improve the business climate. The goal is to de-license and de-regulate business throughout the corporate life cycle.

New Infrastructure: Availability of state of the art and user-friendly infrastructure is critical for industrial growth. The government plans to build industrial corridors and smart cities to provide the infrastructure that is based on cutting-edge technology, modern high-speed communication, and integrated logistics. Infrastructure in industrial clusters will be upgraded to enhance the overall quality of infrastructure. Innovation and research activities are aided by a quick registration method, and the system for registering Intellectual Property Rights has been updated. Skills requirements for industry are defined and workforce development is implemented accordingly.

'Make in India' Programme:'Make in India' has selected 25 new manufacturing, infrastructural, and service sectors, with complete information supplied via an interactive web page and professionally created brochures. Defense production, construction, and railway infrastructure have all seen significant FDI inflows.

The industry is accustomed to viewing the government as a regulator. 'Make in India' aims to change this perspective by introducing a paradigm shift in how the government engages with business. The government will work with industry to help the country thrive economically. Instead of being a regulator, the approach will be that of a facilitator.

The 'Make in India programme' is founded on the basis of collaboration. There have been contributions from Union Ministers, Government of India secretaries, state governments, industry leaders, and numerous knowledge partners. In December 2014, a National Workshop on Sector-Specific Industries brought together Secretaries of the Government of India and industry leaders to debate and to formulate an action plan for the next three years with the goal of increasing the manufacturing sector's contribution to 25% of GDP in the coming years.

As a result of these exercises, a road map for the single largest industrial undertaking designed by a country in recent history was developed. They have also become a trademark of the 'Make in India' programme, demonstrating the transformative power of public-private partnerships. As indicated by recent in-depth engagements between India and the United States of America, this collaborative paradigm has been effectively extended to include India's worldwide allies.

The outdated and obstructive frameworks of the past have been dismantled and replaced with a transparent and user-friendly system that is assisting in driving investment, fostering innovation, developing skills, protecting intellectual property, and building best-in-class manufacturing infrastructure in a short period of time. The remarkable opening up of critical sectors such as railways, defense, insurance, and medical devices to considerably larger amounts of Foreign Direct Investment is the most conspicuous indicator of success.

Under the 'Make India programme', a slew of initiatives aimed at making it easier to do business in India have been introduced. Files and red tape are being replaced by brand new, IT-driven applications and tracking systems. A number of new startups have been initiated at the state government level to streamline and rationalize licensing laws and link them with global best practices.

A number of reforms have been ushered in to make 'Make in India' a reality, from labour law revisions to online filing of returns, from regulatory environment streamlining to enhancing the validity of industrial licenses.

India's credibility is at an all-time high. There is a noticeable sense of forward motion, vitality, and hope. ‘Make in India’ is attracting foreign investment. Its motto is being adopted by a number of businesses. The world's most powerful democracy is on the verge of becoming the world's most powerful economy.

NITI Aayog: The National Institute for Transforming India's Development Agenda (NITI Aayog) is a non-profit organization dedicated to transforming India's development agenda. NITI Aayog is the premier policy think-tank of  Narendra Modi Government, which provides directional and policy inputs time to time.

The institutions of governance and policy must adapt to new challenges and be built on the founding principles of the Constitution of India, the wealth of knowledge from our civilizational history, and the current socio-cultural-economic contexts, reflecting the spirit and changing dynamics of the new India. India's and its inhabitants' aspirations necessitate governance reforms and dynamic policy adjustments capable of seeding and nurturing tremendous transformation.

Happy Birthday Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji! May the Almighty God grant you a long life so that you can carry on your work for the country!!!
