New Delhi: Corona vaccination will be introduced for children between the ages of 15 and 18 years from January 3. Healthcare and frontline workers will also be given a pre-caution dose of the vaccine. This was announced by PM Narendra Modi on Saturday night. Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal expressed happiness after the Prime Minister's announcement and said he was already demanding it. Not only Kejriwal but Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot also says that he had written several letters to the PM demanding this.

CM Arvind Kejriwal expressed happiness over the announcement of the booster dose of corona vaccine to frontline workers and said it should be given to all. He also said that he was happy to know that now children in the age group of 15-18 years will also get the corona vaccine. Earlier this week, Kejriwal had appealed to the Centre to approve booster doses to already vaccinated persons and said the Delhi government has enough infrastructure to do so. Kejriwal tweeted, "I am happy that PM announced booster dose for frontline workers. A booster dose should be given to all.'' In addition, it is heartening to note that children in the age group of 15-18 years will now be vaccinated. In Delhi, 1.48 crore people have been given one dose of the COVID vaccine, while 70 per cent have received both.

The same CM Gehlot said, "According to experts, we have written several times demanding the PMG to issue guidelines on the booster dose of the covid vaccine and the children's vaccine. I am happy that today, accepting our demand, the PMG has announced booster dose and the vaccination of children from 15 years to 18 years.''
