New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi  today extended warm greetings to the countrymen on the occasion of various festivals being celebrated across the country today. PM Modi said that PM Modi, a number of festivals symbolise India's thriving cultural diversity.

"Across India, we are celebrating many festivals that represent India's strong cultural variety," the prime minister tweeted. My best wishes for these holidays.

In an image message wishing everyone a happy Makar Sankranti, Prime Minister Modi wrote: "Greetings to all of you on the occasion of Makar Sankranti. May everyone's life be filled with health and happiness as a result of this holiday honouring nature.

Along with wishing everyone a happy Uttarayan, PM Modi. He tweeted, "Have a great Uttarayan."

"Bhogi greetings to everyone," the Prime Minister wrote in another tweet as he wished everyone a happy Bhogi. May the spirit of joy in our community be enhanced by this particular event. I offer up prayers for our neighbours' health and wellbeing.

PM Modi also sent his best wishes to Magh Bihu. "Magh Bihu salutations to each of you. PM Modi tweeted, "I pray that this holiday will enhance happiness and prosperity in everyone's lives.

The rich culture of Tamil Nadu is linked with Pongal, as Modi noted in a tweet wishing everyone a happy Pongal. My greetings on this auspicious day go out to everyone, but especially to the Tamil people. I ask for a strengthening of our ties to environment and the sense of community in our society.
