Varanasi: PM Narendra Modi is on a visit to his parliamentary constituency Varanasi today. PM Modi inaugurated 78 projects in Varanasi and gave a gift of Rs 1,583 crores to the people here. Addressing the public, PM Modi said that today Uttar Pradesh has become the most tested corona testing state across the country.  Also, Uttar Pradesh is the highest immunization state in the entire country.

PM Modi further said, "I am particularly grateful to my colleagues from Kashi, from the administration here to the entire team of Corona Warriors. The way you gathered day and night and made arrangements in Kashi is a great service. The way UP handled the second wave of corona in the country's largest state with a population of more than dozens of major countries in the world, the way UP handled it, preventing the spread of corona infection is unprecedented.''

PM Modi further said, "Today in UP, the government is not running on corruption and nepotism, but by developments. That is why today the people are getting the benefit of the people's schemes directly in UP. Today, new industries are being invested in the state, employment opportunities are increasing. The Rs 1 lakh crore special fund created for modern agricultural infrastructure in the country will now benefit our agricultural markets as well. This is a major step towards modernizing and facilitating the system of agricultural markets in the country.''
