According to the information received, the antiquities has been handed over to Prime Minister Modi as a gift from the Biden administration. The artefacts are said to have been stolen from India and taken to the US.

At the same time, PM Modi President Joe Biden has also committed to strengthening efforts to tackle illegal trade in cultural goods, theft smuggling. According to a recently released official statement, 'About half of the artefacts are cultural, while the other half have sculptures related to Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism.'

On the other hand, PM Modi has expressed his gratitude to America for the return of India's antiquities. According to the information received, these 157 artefacts range from one and a half meter base relief panel of Revanth in 10th-century sandstone to 8.5 cm high bronze Nataraja idol of the 12th century. You must be aware that the Modi government has started a campaign to bring back the antiquities artefacts of India from all over the world.

Now, these 157 artefacts are being brought back under the same campaign. Not only that, between 1976 and 2013, various Central Governments came to power and managed to bring back only 13 antiquities from abroad. However, it is another matter that more than 200 antiquities have either returned or are in the process of coming back from the Modi government since he became prime minister in 2014.
