Delhi: Jordanian King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein is to deliver talks on Islamic Heritage and promoting Understanding and Moderation.

 Earler King Abdullah II of Jordan arrived at Rashtrapati Bhawan, received warmly by President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Jordian King also inspected gourd of honor at Rashtrapati Bhawan.

 PM Modi took is twitor handle and said,”Looking forward to meeting His Majesty King Abdullah II today. We will take part in a conference on ‘Islamic Heritage: Promoting Understanding and Moderation’ at 10:30 this morning in Delhi. After that, we shall be holding talks aimed at boosting India-Jordan relations,” PM Modi tweted.

 Bilateral talks between the two leaders will include defense, security and investments.

King Abdullah, who is recognized to be against Islamic extremism, could help greatly to India in counter-terror operations.

King Abdullah’s India visit could also advance the negotiation of a defense agenda between India and Jordan as Abdullah's support can deepen security ties between India and Jordan to leverage its unique strategic location in the Levant, with right of entry to the Red Sea and the eastern Mediterranean.

PM Modi and the Jordan king are also expected to see the sights for deepening bilateral trade ties, especially as twenty textile industries from India as nation have invested around $300 million in Jordan.
