New Delhi: Today is Former Union Finance Minister and veteran leader of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Arun Jaitley's death anniversary today. On this occasion, Union Home Minister Amit Shah remembered Arun Jaitley saying that he was an outstanding politician, prolific orator and a great personality, who cannot be replaced by anyone in Indian politics.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that "Arun Jaitley was talented and was a friend who will always be remembered for his vast legacy, transformational vision and patriotism." Arun Jaitley died in AIIMS, Delhi on 24 August last year. PM Modi has also remembered Arun Jaitley, tweeting from his official Twitter handle.

PM Modi has said that on this day last year "On this day, last year, we lost Shri Arun Jaitley Ji. I miss my friend a lot. Arun Ji diligently served India. His wit, intellect, legal acumen and warm personality were legendary. Here is what I had said during a prayer meeting in his memory." PM Narendra Modi has also posted the video of Arun Jaitley's prayer meeting on social media.
