PM Modi and president Kovind congratulates Team India after their historic Test series win in Australia

Team India created history by winning the maiden Test series against Australia in their own land. President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated the team on this great achievement.

PM modi took to Twitter and congratulated Indian Test team for their historic achievement. The tweet reads, “A historic cricketing accomplishment in Australia! Congratulations to the Indian Cricket Team for the hard-fought and richly deserved series victory. The series witnessed some memorable performances and solid teamwork. Best wishes for the various games ahead.”

President Ram Nath Kovind also congratulated Skipper Virat Kohli and his team for their stupendous performance. The Tweet reads, “Congratulations to @imVkohli and his team for reaching one of Indian cricket’s final frontiers and winning a test series in Australia for the first time. Gritty batting, marvellous fast bowling and a fine team effort have done us proud. Let’s make a habit of it! #PresidentKovind.

Team India won the Border-Gavaskar Trophy after the fourth and final test ended as Draw. India performed incredibly in all the three departments to clinch the four-match series 1-1. With this victory, Virat Kohli became the first ever captain to achieve the remarkable feat.
