Prime Minister Narendra Modi today gave a special message to the people about this habit through 'Mann Ki Baat' radio program. The Prime Minister appealed to the people to try to quit the habit of spitting. The Prime Minister said that the coronavirus infection has given us two-fours with many kinds of awareness.

In his address, he said that another awareness that has come up in our society is about the loss of spitting in public. Spitting and bad habits were a part of here. He said that the time has come to eradicate this bad habit forever. He also said that it may be late to implement it, but there is a saying in our country that the accident was delayed. He said that it could happen later, but this habit of spitting should be abandoned from now. These things will not only increase the level of basic hygiene but will also help in curbing the corona infection. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also said that due to changing times, masks are becoming a part of our lives and they will now become a symbol of civilized society. Prime Minister Modi again pledged to wear the traditional 'Gamcha', which he wore to cover his mouth and nose amidst the crisis.
