The Modi government of the centre has completed four years in power and has entered the election year. In such a way, Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself is counting the achievements of his own government. In the same sequence, on the second day of his two-day Purvanchal visit, along with CM Yogi Adityanath of PM Modi Subh, joined the meeting with party office bearers in the Director's premises of Benaras. After which PM Modi left for Vindhya region i.e. Mirzapur, where the opening of the Bansagar project has been inaugurated, along with the opening of 108 public drug centre, the foundation stone of the medical college and bridge connecting Banaras and Mirzapur in Chunar.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi left from Helipad, located at Dirka, Varanasi at 10:30 am to Mirzapur. At 11 am, he laid the foundation stone of medical college in Mirzapur with the release of the Bansagar project in a program organized in Chandpur village of Mirzapur. After this PM Modi is addressing a public meeting. After that, at 12:15, Varanasi will leave for the airport and return to Delhi from there.

Significantly, the Bansagar project will prove to be very beneficial for the unorganized areas of Uttar Pradesh's Mirzapur and Allahabad. PM addressed a public meeting along with the inauguration of the Banasagar project on the river. As a result, efforts will also be made for neighbouring districts of Sonbhadra, Robertsganj and Madhya Pradesh adjacent to Mirzapur.

Madhya Pradesh's share of the Bansagar project was completed in 2006, which was inaugurated by former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The project was founded by the then Prime Minister Morarji Desai during the Janata government whose work could be completed almost three decades later.

Earlier, PM Modi left the Dirka Guest House in Varanasi late night to visit his parliamentary constituency, Varanasi, during which he reached BHU Viswanath temple while passing through Sundarpur, Naria. After praying in the temple, Prime Minister Modi accompanied his convoy in Lanka, Gurudham Ravindra Puri, Bhalupur, Madanpura, Godaulia, Chowk, Madagin, Lahurabir, Andarampul, Ambedkar Chauraha, Circuit House, Nadesar, Cantt Railway Station, Returned to the Dirka guest house. PM Modi's tour lasted for about an hour at night.
