NEW DELHI: During his emotional farewell speech to Rajya Sabha Chairman and Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu on Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the veteran politician's "wit-liners" that were "win-liners." 

PM Modi praised Naidu's contribution to the Rajya Sabha's Monsoon session and said he had the "fortunate" to work closely with the former vice president in the House. The Prime Minister claimed to have witnessed Naidu working "devotedly" in each of the posts he filled throughout his time in politics.

"Today we are all present here to honour Rajya Sabha Chairman and Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu at the conclusion of his tenure," Prime Minister Modi said at the beginning of his statement.
